Job Description
We are seeking a seasoned Model Supervisor to oversee the creation and delivery of high-quality 3D models for various projects.
This role will involve collaborating with cross-functional teams, including CG Supervisors, Heads of Department, and Leads, to manage asset modeling pipelines, troubleshoot technical issues, and ensure timely delivery of results.
The ideal candidate will have extensive experience as a lead on multiple shows, with a proven track record of fostering a collaborative and inclusive team environment, promoting effective communication, and driving creative problem-solving.
In this role, you will work closely with production management, Head of Department, and Leads to prioritize tasks, allocate resources, and balance artistic and productivity requirements. You will also be responsible for bidding work, managing project schedules, and ensuring that all deliverables meet the required standards.
Key Responsibilities:
* Manage time effectively across multiple projects, delegating tasks and leading asset modeling when required.
* Collaborate with VFX Supervisor, CG Supervisor, Head of Department, and Leads to assess technical feasibility, implement workflows, and maintain quality standards.
* Responsible for bidding work, driving overall modeling schedule, and balancing artistic and productivity requirements.
* Awareness of impact creative decisions have on show's schedule and budget, adjusting choices when possible to stay on track.
* Expert knowledge and experience in Maya, Zeno, and Linux/Unix is required.
* Proven experience as a lead on 4+ shows, with expertise in 3D CG for digital animation or visual effects film.
