The Client

The Role
Our client is seeking a Leader for the Tenancy Service team. Reporting directly to the CEO, this role involves leading a high‐performing team to guarantee the delivery of outstanding tenancy and customer service. The ultimate goal is to enable tenants to sustain their tenancy and enhance their personal outcomes.
- Establish and oversee work schedules for the preparation and response to compliance audits related to Community Housing.
- Strategically plan monthly and annual tasks within the tenancy and property portfolio.
- Provide leadership and developmental support to a small team of Tenancy and Property Coordinators.
- Foster connections and gather information for tenancy recruitment, agreements, and support services.
- Regularly assess the goodness‐of‐fit and identify opportunities for improvement in tenancy service processes.
- Monitor tenancy and property service and financial data, taking necessary actions to support service quality, continuity, and financial sustainability.
- Serve as a liaison for the team, managing work processes, tenancy documentation, rents, and rental arrears.
- Ensure property condition reviews align with the Office for Community Housing guidelines and client policies.
- Produce timely reports on tenancy and property matters to meet the needs of management, the board, and government.
- Handle market rent calculations and increases.
- Provide financial support to the team, overseeing trust account processes, tenant refunds, rent import, and end‐of‐month finance reconciliation.
- Gather and report NRSCH data.
- Manage contracts and reporting for government interest properties, including head lease arrangements, maintenance obligations, quarterly KPI reports, and lease invoicing.
- Coordinate with Tenancy and Property Coordinators and the Program Manager, Maintenance, and Renewal on maintenance matters.
- Prepare monthly tenancy and property‐related KPI reports for the team and the Board.
Qualifications
- Previous experience managing a team within the real estate/property space.
- Excellent stakeholder management skills.
- Experience in tenancy management and a thorough understanding of the Residential Tenancies Act and disability housing guidelines.
- High‐level administration and/or EA experience within a similar field.
- Relevant industry qualifications.
- A team‐orientated approach to management.
