Ready to make a splash in your career? WaterNSW is seeking an experienced Maintenance Officer – Water Treatment Plant (FULL-TIME) to join our team. Responsibilities
* Carry out practical maintenance work including preventative maintenance tasks, minor repairs, and field‐based operational works to keep assets running safely and efficiently.
* Respond to operational needs in the field by assisting with dam surveillance, water quality sampling, and on‐site operational activities across storages, treatment facilities, and distribution systems.
* Help ensure safe drinking water supply for the Fish River Water Supply Scheme by operating within strict regulatory and operational guidelines to maintain compliant potable water production.
* Keep accurate records and reporting up to date including maintenance logs, operational data, chemical usage, inventory tracking, and documentation of hazards or non‐conformances.
* Support emergency and incident response activities including participation in flood operations, lock operations, and other water infrastructure events as required.
Qualifications
* A Water Treatment Plant Operations Certificate (or equivalent qualification) demonstrating capability in water treatment operations.
* MR Licence.
* Demonstrated experience in Water Treatment Plant operations, or strong capability and willingness to develop skills in this environment.
* Working knowledge of water treatment principles, processes and technology, with the ability to apply this understanding in day‐to‐day operational and production activities.
* A collaborative mindset with the ability to work effectively as part of a multi‐skilled operational team, contributing to shared outcomes.
