Senior Legal Counsel, Customer Contracts (min 8 PQE) - Digital Infrastructure MNC
Our client is a market-leading digital infrastructure platform with a strong and growing footprint across the region. As part of continued business expansion, they are seeking a Legal Counsel / Senior Legal Counsel to join their high-performing legal team. This newly created position will focus on customer-facing commercial contracts, including complex colocation and data centre leasing arrangements with hyperscalers, enterprises, and other strategic customers.
The successful candidate will work closely with commercial, sales, operations, and technical teams, providing timely, commercially pragmatic legal support while helping shape contracting standards and best practices across the business.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead the drafting, review, negotiation, and execution of a broad range of customer contracts, including:
* Colocation agreements
* Data centre leasing agreements
* Master service agreements (MSAs)
* Service level agreements (SLAs)
* Other complex commercial arrangements with hyperscalers and enterprise customers
* Advise stakeholders on legal, contractual, and commercial risks, providing clear and practical recommendations to enable business decision-making.
* Support regional sales and commercial teams throughout the deal cycle, ensuring alignment with internal policies and risk thresholds.
* Work cross-functionally with operations, engineering, finance, compliance, and procurement teams to ensure contractual obligations are clearly defined and implementable.
* Contribute to the development of contracting templates, playbooks, policies, and process improvements to drive efficiency and consistency.
* Assist with broader legal matters as required, including regulatory, corporate, and project initiatives arising from the company's growth.
Requirements
* Minimum 8 years of post-qualification experience gained in a reputable law firm and/or in-house legal team.
* Strong commercial contracts experience; exposure to customer contracting in the data centre, digital infrastructure, telecommunications, cloud services, or technology sectors will be highly regarded.
* Prior experience negotiating colocation agreements or data centre leasing arrangements with hyperscaler or large enterprise clients is a significant advantage.
* Excellent negotiation, communication, and stakeholder-management skills with the ability to work in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.
* Commercially minded, solutions-oriented, and comfortable supporting complex regional deals.
* Ability to operate independently while being an effective team player within a collaborative legal function.
