**Who we are looking for**

Charles River Development (CRD) is a rapidly growing and profitable financial software and services firm whose customers include the world's top investment management, wealth management, banking and insurance firms. The Client Manager position establishes long-term relationships with our customers through continuous review and improvement of customer's use of CRD products and services.

**Why this role is important to us**

The team you will be joining is a part of Charles River Development (or CRD), that became a part of State Street in 2018. CRD helps create enterprise investment management software solutions for large institutions in the areas of institutional investment, wealth management and hedge funds. Together we have created first open front-to-back platform - State Street Alpha, that was launched in 2019.

**What you will be responsible for**

The Client Manager will not only be expected to build and maintain an excellent relationship with the client, but also take responsibility for:

- Ensuring a high touch engagement model, including regular onsite visits, project status calls, executive engagements
- Developing relationships with senior client personnel to gain understanding of client strategy and CRD's alignment to achieving their strategy
- Sustaining a strong understanding of the Charles River IMS and keeping up-to-date with current functionality, offerings and upgrades
- Maintaining frequent communication and collaboration with internal client account teams and business units
- Establishing long-term, strategic objectives for the client and measure success against account plan goals
- Proactively ensuring effective client issue resolution, project delivery, response to information requests, and collaboration with other CRD teams
- Maintaining awareness of market and industry trends and news relevant to CRD and client base
- Solicitation of feedback on CRD's products and services
- Refining mechanisms to track all aspects of the client's relationship within CRD and leveraging them to enhance and better forecast the customer relationship.
- Serve as liaison to Support and Product Management to identify, validate and prioritise product enhancements for the client.
- Primary driver of product upgrades and initially working through the upgrade process with the client to ensure they understand best practices and the range of engagement models.

**What we value**

These skills will help you succeed in this role:

- Front Office and instrument type knowledge across equities, fixed income, derivatives, FX etc.
- Demonstrated ability to client face at a high level using a hands-on approach.
- Understanding of multi-tier technical architectures and relational database structures. Familiarity with SQL, FIX, Crystal Reports, messaging and web services a plus.
- Demonstrated ability to meet self-imposed deadlines with proactive account management skills, and a track record of balancing the demands of a major client account.
- Have an established successful Client Management track record.
- Fostered relationships with Head Traders, Portfolio Managers, C-level Management in major and medium sized corporations globally.
- Negotiated resolutions to difficult relationship issues to the advantage of both customers and employers.
- Superior oral and written communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong analytical skills.
- Able to differentiate and work at strategic and tactical levels simultaneously.

**Education & Preferred Qualifications**
- Minimum of 5 years of Financial / Software Services industry background with financial market information systems preferred.
- Bachelors Degree from a leading university or college in Business Management, Economics, Finance, Computer Science or the like.

**Additional requirements**
- Travel up to 10% may be required.
