Our company is looking to appoint an experienced Water Consultant specialised in surface water environmental studies to help grow and expand our Water Services group.
About the Role
Key Responsibilities:
1. Provide technical leadership through the delivery of surface water projects, and support the growth and success of the surface water team, in collaboration with management.
2. Contribute to business development activities and the growth of a national surface water team.
3. Demonstrate and deliver on technically accurate data analysis and reporting.
4. Manage and deliver medium to large-scale projects from proposal to completion, building strong client relationships and communication.
5. Provide expert advice on surface water/water issues, regulations, and best practices.
6. Collaborate with clients, regulatory agencies, and other technical disciplines (i.e. ecology, social, cultural heritage and spatial analysis) to develop innovative and tailored solutions.
7. Provide positive leadership and guidance to junior staff, fostering a collaborative, productive and fun work environment.
About You
* A degree qualification in Engineering (Water) or a related field is required.
* A minimum of 8 years of experience in water/environmental consulting is essential.
* Sound capabilities in managing water related projects are necessary.
* Strong leadership skills with a people focus are required, thriving in a fun, friendly environment that values work-life balance, while delivering high-quality technical work.
* The ability to distil complex information and tasks into simple language is crucial.
* Strong written and verbal communication skills are essential.
* Proven ability to work collaboratively as part of a team in a fast-paced consulting environment is necessary.
