Overview
Our high profile Federal Government client is seeking experienced ICT Security Specialists for an initial 18-month contract. Applicants must hold an active NV1 or higher security clearance prior to applying. Most roles are based in Canberra; however, the Agency may accommodate candidates in Melbourne, Brisbane or Perth.
Role
As an ICT Security Specialist, you will be responsible for implementing, managing, and decommissioning the infrastructure that supports their digital services. This includes physical, virtual, networking, and cloud infrastructure. Your role will involve conducting complex technical assessments to ensure Agency capabilities meet stringent security standards.
Responsibilities
* Accountable to conduct security risk assessments and provide advice and guidance on the application and operation of procedural security controls.
* Accountable for conducting security risk assessments and providing advice and guidance on the application and operation of procedural security controls.
* Responsible for ensuring that all identified breaches in information security are promptly managed according to established policies and procedures.
* Understand the security features and capabilities of industry-accepted hardware and software products and provide advice to stakeholders.
* Use experience to explain systems security and the strengths and weaknesses that are relevant.
Technical Skills
* Certification as an Infosec Registered Assessors Program (IRAP) Assessor.
* Experience ensuring technical systems adhere to Essential Eight, ISM, and PSPF frameworks.
* Proven ability to communicate complex technical systems to non-technical audiences.
* Excellent organisational & communication skills.
* Proven record building, managing, & enhancing relationships with stakeholders.
* Experience developing, managing, and implementing SOPs & procedures in support of security accreditation frameworks.
