**What's the role?**
The Creative department at Sky News is on the hunt for a talented creative designer with skills that can contribute to a variety of platforms. Your role will be to support the creative team, marketing team and newsroom at large with creative visual solutions to help tell stories, convey information effectively and bring an extra layer of polish to all on air, digital, promotional & marketing outputs.
- Bring your tertiary design training to the small team at Sky News and contribute to elevating the overall standard of work.
- Appropriate design for social or digital platforms.
- Adhere to fast turnaround times when required and punctually meet deadlines.
- 3D C4D design skills suitable for creating news infographics.
- Basic print design and layout skills are advantageous but not essential.
- Remain calm under pressure and always treat superiors and colleagues with respect.
- Have a genuinely positive attitude towards tasks and feedback.
- Create quality motion graphics for all Sky News platforms (digital, on-air, marketing) with ease and speed.
- Adhere to and extend the Sky News rebrand toolkit and elements.
- Work collaboratively with your senior and junior design peers.
- Manage your files and workspace in an organised fashion.
**Who you are**
- You have credentials in design training with a solid understanding of aesthetic fundamentals.
- Natural use of grid layouts, typography and a range of motion skills.
- Comprehensive skills in AE, PR, AI, PSD.
- Basic skills in C4D.
- Experience creating content for social or digital channels.
- Newsroom experience an advantage.
- Professional broadcast experience ideal.
- Meticulous, organised and able to multitask.
- A high standard of attention to detail.
- Naturally creative and ideas driven.
- Ability to design for broadcast sets is advantageous.
- AR/VR skills advantageous but not essential
