The Role
We have a great opportunity for you to join BOC as a Business Development Specialist.
Based out of Mackay but could be required to travel to Bundaberg, Gladstone, Rockhampton, Townsville, Cairns, Mt Isa & Darwin you will be responsible for the growth and retention of Industrial Customers and seeking and converting new business prospects.
Key responsibilities in this role include:
Increase the profitability of the portfolio through effective price & contract management and product substitution
Identify, develop and commercialize growth opportunities in existing customer accounts and new business prospects
Develop mutually rewarding relationships with prospective and current customers
Work with your Business Manager to agree on highest potential accounts to target for you and the team.
Ensure new business is won at the best possible commercial terms for BOC/ELGAS/Linde
Provide technical support and solutions and deliver outstanding customer experience
Represent BOC/ELGAS/Linde at local and national Welding Institutions
Build strong collaborative relationships within your team and other BOC departments
You will have skills and experience including
Strong selling and business development skills including customer negotiation
Thorough understanding of price and contract management
Excellent Verbal and written communication skills
Welding, Fabrication or similar trade experience would be highly advantageous
You possess the ability to strategically grow existing business through a technical solutions approach.
Train customers on specific products and demonstrate features
Willingness to travel
You have a valid driver's license
