Working for a well-known and respected not-for-profit organisation this temporary role will see you take ownership of the reporting, compliance and accounting for their long service leave provisions.
Being in the community services sector sees this organisation included in the portable long service benefits scheme. As such this role will ensure the accuracy and timely delivery of all required reporting and accounting as required by the scheme.
The Role
Reporting to the Financial Controller with a dotted line to the Payroll Manager your duties will include:
* Understanding and interpretation of the PLSL scheme
* Detailed monthly reporting
* Payroll reconciliations
* Timely updating of PLSL liabilities
* Timely & accurate reporting of returns
* Month-end journals and balance sheet reconciliations
* Employee query resolution
* Process & procedure improvement
* Assisting the team throughout the payroll transformation
* Ad-hoc support across the team
Your Profile
To be successful in this role you will be required to have previous experience of administering and/or accounting for the portable long service leave scheme.
Excellent communication/interpersonal skills coupled with an ability to build relationships both internally and externally are also essential for this role.
Stakeholder engagement, particularly with an ability to influence process improvements and the implementation of internal controls will see you successful in this position.
