As our business continues to grow, we are seeking a skilled and motivated Experienced Estimator to join our team in ****.
About the Role
We are looking for a detail-driven Estimator with strong construction knowledge and the ability to prepare accurate tenders, quotes, and cost plans.
You will work closely with our Directors and Project Management team to deliver high-quality pricing for a wide range of projects.
What You'll Be Doing
Preparing detailed estimates, cost plans, and take-offs for insurance, residential, and commercial construction projects
Interpreting plans, engineering drawings, and scopes of work
Breaking down labour, materials, subcontractor, and equipment costs
Preparing and submitting competitive tenders
Reviewing and negotiating supplier and subcontractor pricing
Attending site inspections when required
Supporting cost control, budgets, and value engineering
What We're Looking For
3–5+ years of estimating experience in construction (insurance building experience highly regarded)
Strong knowledge of building materials, methods, and pricing
Ability to read and interpret architectural and engineering documentation
Experience using estimating software such as Buildxact, Cubit, Tradify, or similar, plus strong MS Office skills
Excellent numerical ability and attention to detail
Strong communication and organisational skills
Ability to work to deadlines and manage multiple estimates at once
