As an Assistant Underwriter, you will play a crucial role in building strong relationships with stakeholders to underwrite profitable business within a delegated authority through trading with brokers.
About the Role
This hybrid role combines 'office days' in North Sydney with flexibility to work remotely. Reporting to the Service Manager, your primary responsibility is to create and maintain strong working relationships with clients, service providers, and other insurance professionals.
Key Responsibilities:
* Action quotes and renewals within agreed service level agreements.
* Provide exceptional customer service in both written and verbal capacities.
* Contribute to new business growth and renewal retention objectives.
* Maintain adherence to all relevant legislation, regulations, codes, and company policies and procedures.
Requirements
To succeed in this role, you will need:
* General insurance experience, preferably in a contact centre as a service consultant within claims or service.
* Professional, clear, and concise communication and presentation skills.
* Effective time and workload management.
* Solid problem-solving skills with high attention to detail.
* Strata experience or knowledge is advantageous but not essential.
