About the role
We currently have an exciting opportunity to join the Access Assistant Program team within 3D Health as a Registered Nurse, where you will be responsible for:
Key duties of the role
- Providing direct nursing care and health support to children with complex health and disability needs in educational settings.
- Managing airway support, enteral nutrition, medication, catheterisation, seizures, and asthma per individualised health plans.
- Collaborating with health professionals, families, and agencies for optimal health outcomes.
- Consolidating knowledge and skills through professional development and experience.
- Accepting accountability for nursing care standards and delegated activities.
Skills and Experience
- Registered or eligible for registration as a nurse by the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia (NMBA) and who holds, or who is eligible to hold, a current practicing certificate
- Demonstrated competence in the relevant area of nursing practice in accordance with the appropriate standards of practice
- Proven experience in working with clients with complex and/or invasive health care including tracheostomies, oxygen therapy and ventilation.
- Effective communication skills including, problem solving, conflict resolution and negotiation skills
- Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team
