MidCoast Council is seeking a highly experienced project delivery professional to lead major water and sewer infrastructure projects across our region.
Location: Taree, New South Wales. The role will be based at our Administration Centre in Yalawanyi Ganya at 2 Biripi Way, Taree, and may also require presence at other Council sites across the MidCoast region.
Reporting to: Manager Water Project Delivery.
What You'll Be Doing
* Leading end‐to‐end delivery of major water and sewer infrastructure projects
* Managing projects through design, procurement, contract administration and construction
* Acting as Superintendent or Superintendent's Representative
* Managing Tier 1 / Tier 2 contractors, consultants and key stakeholders
* Driving performance across cost, time, quality and risk
* Leading commercial aspects including variations, claims and contract negotiations
* Ensuring projects are practical, constructible and delivered to a high standard
What You'll Bring
* Senior project management experience over a sustained period
* Experience delivering large, complex infrastructure projects, ideally in water/sewer
* Background working within a contractor or consultancy environment on major capital works
* Confidence managing high‐value contracts, including variations and commercial risk
* Desire to apply experience in an end‐to‐end project delivery focus
Someone with a background mainly in operations, maintenance or small‐scale project supervision may find the scope of this role does not match their experience.

Salary: Commencing salary to be negotiated within the salary system range of approximately $119,620 – $143,500 per year, plus superannuation.
Vehicle arrangement: A leaseback vehicle will be provided for an annual fee calculated as 20% of the gross purchase price. It is fully maintained for both business and private use, with no additional expenses for normal use.
A civil liability allowance of 3.5% applies to this position.
Tenure: Permanent, Full Time (35 hours per week).
