We have an opportunity for an innovative and dynamic Senior Exploration Geologist to join our passionate team, implementing high impact exploration and infill drilling programs in Australia's most exciting new mineral region.
This is a Perth based role with a significant component of fieldwork at the remote Aileron exploration camp on a nominally 2 & 2 roster (1 Week R&R with 1 week of office base work).
The successful candidate will have excellent communication and time management skills, be highly motivated and inquisitive. Remote exploration experience and enthusiasm will be essential.
Tertiary qualifications in Geology and experience with data management, GIS and 3D modelling applications are essential.
Responsibilities
* Technical input into target generation, resource definition and exploration programs
* Onsite field and safety management of remote geological, geophysical and drilling activities
* Training, mentoring and supervision of onsite field staff in daily exploration activities
* Daily contractor management and communication
* Effective drill rig management of Diamond, Aircore and RC rigs
* Managing and supervising collection of drilling data including ensuring QA/QC and geological control during daily drilling activities
* Contribution to and supervision of geological logging of diamond core, Aircore and RC drill chips
* Efficient interpretation, evaluation, and reporting of results including pXRF and multi element geochemistry
* Supervising ongoing logistics and maintenance of remote field camps and vehicles
* Assisting with land access and community consultations
Candidate Profile
* More than 5 years experience in remote exploration
* Be a highly motivated and inquisitive team player
* Excellent communication and time management skills
* Tertiary qualifications in Geology including experience with data management, GIS and 3D modelling applications
* Must hold a C‑class (manual) drivers' licence. 4WD experience or training advantageous
* Remote exploration experience and enthusiasm will be essential
Remuneration
Remuneration package will be negotiated commensurate with experience and includes significant exposure to exploration success through Employee Share Options.
