About the Position
The Logistics Officer position plays an integral role in our site team and is accountable for the efficient logistical operation of our South Australian business. Driving efficiency, initiatives, transport providers and nurturing relationships will be part of your everyday responsibilities and will contribute towards the overall strategic running of the site.
Key Responsibilities
* Coordinate inbound and outbound freight, including rail, road and container movements
* Schedule and liaise with transport providers to ensure timely dispatch and receival of containers.
* Ensure compliance with Chain of Responsibility (CoR) obligations and relevant transport legislation
* Monitor and support cost control initiatives
* Work closely with the production and sales teams to meet customer delivery requirements.
* Maintain accurate records within management systems
* Build and maintain strong relationships with transport providers, customers and internal stakeholders.
* Support continuous improvement initiatives across site logistics processes
About You
To be successful in this role, you will demonstrate:
* Previous experience in logistics, transport coordination or supply chain operations (agriculture or bulk commodities highly regarded)
* Strong organisational and time management skills
* High attention to detail and accuracy in documentation
* Sound understanding of freight movements and export processes
* Strong communication skills and ability to build productive working relationships
* Intermediate to advanced computer skills, including Microsoft Office. Proficiency in Microsoft Dynamics will be well regarded.
* Excellent time management, organisation and prioritizing skills.
