With several Flavorite sites located across Victoria, the IPM Leading Hand role is based at our growing Mansfield ocation which currently employs up to 80 employees.
**About the opportunity**:
A newly created position exists for an Integrated Pest Management (IPM) Leading Hand to join our Mansfield site's growing IPM department.
As an IPM Leading Hand, you will be primarily responsible for the implementation of IPM Operational Work orders to prevent and manage pests and disease outbreaks in order to maximise crop health, fruit quality and production levels.
**Key Accountabilities**:
- Coordinate IPM staffing levels to ensure IPM tasks are performed in accordance with weekly work orders and weekly spray program
- Management of scouting and preventative treatments in allocated sheds
- Assisting in compiling a weekly spray program from the weekly IPM report when required
- Responsible for beneficial releases and weekly distribution pattern where relevant
- Manage identification and removal of disease outbreaks when required
- Assist in all chemical risk assessments for new products
- Assist with new techniques or products when required for all IPM operations, including trials
- ACUP - Agricultural Chemical User Permit
- Proven experience in crop protection and use of hazardous substances
- Ability to demonstrate positive identification of relevant pests and diseases related to Flavorite crops
- Knowledge of Integrated Pest Management Principles
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Well-developed computer skills (Microsoft Office)
- Relevant tertiary qualification (desirable)
