Diesel Mechanic
Duties and Responsibilities:
· Conduct routine maintenance and inspections on diesel engines, including oil changes, filter replacements, and fluid level checks.
· Diagnose mechanical and electrical issues using diagnostic tools and computer software.
· Repair and replace faulty components such as valves, pistons, bearings, and injectors.
· Perform engine tune-ups to improve performance and efficiency
· Carry out scheduled and unscheduled repairs, ensuring minimal downtime for our fleet of plant and equipment.
· Keep accurate records of all maintenance and repair work performed
· Collaborate with other members of the maintenance team to prioritize and complete assigned tasks in a timely manner
· Comply with all safety protocols and procedures to maintain a safe working environment
Hours of work- Monday to Friday 07:00AM to 04:00PM
Machinery includes, but not limited to- Loaders, Excavators, Crushers, Screening Plants, Trailers(side and rear tippers/ step-downs etc), Tip Truck, and Semi-Trailers
Requirements:
· Relevant trade qualification(required)
· HR Drivers Licence (Required)
· Ability to travel as required by the business (required)
· Current first-aid certificate (or ability to obtain within 3 months of employment)- Required
· Forklift licence (preferred)
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $80,000.00 – $95,000.00 per year
