The Applied Learning Teacher position involves educating students who have been disconnected from mainstream education. The teacher will design a personalized learning program focusing on each student's strengths.
This includes developing and implementing individualized learning plans, monitoring student progress, and providing feedback to parents. Collaborative work with colleagues is also necessary for developing curriculum programs and contributing to school policies.
Experience working with disengaged students, knowledge of trauma-informed practices, and exceptional interpersonal skills are essential. A commitment to ongoing professional development is also required.
