Technical Sales Engineer Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled Technical Sales Engineer to join our team. This role requires strong technical knowledge and excellent sales skills to identify and develop new business opportunities within the Australian Industrial Refrigeration market.
The successful candidate will have a proven track record of success in sales, with a deep understanding of industrial refrigeration solutions and products. They will be responsible for prospecting, identifying, and developing new business opportunities, as well as maintaining field intelligence and feedback to ensure our business remains competitive.
Key Responsibilities:
* Prospect and identify new business opportunities within the Australian IR & HP market
* Maintain field intelligence and feedback on competitors' activities, products, prices, and business performance
* Develop and implement sales strategies to achieve designated sales targets
* Collaborate with technical and project teams to develop working designs, costings, and proposals for sales opportunities
* Liaise with key suppliers and subcontractors for pricing of equipment and systems
Requirements:
* Industrial refrigeration experience with product, design, and solution sales
* Undergraduate degree in engineering or related area (desirable but not essential)
* Minimum 3+ years of appropriate sales experience
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills
* Leadership skills, strategic thinking, demonstrated accountability
* Negotiation skills, ability to achieve win-win solutions
* Motivated team player, able to develop internal and external relationships
