System Infrastructure Specialist
Key Responsibilities:
* Designs and defines system architecture for new or existing computer systems to optimize performance, efficiency, and scalability.
* Maintains the organization's computer systems' workflows and is responsible for the upkeep, configuration, and reliable operation of computer systems, including fixing network issues and updating equipment and software.
* Provides technical support in the management of networks, software, hardware, configurations, and architectures to ensure seamless operations.
* Troubleshoots moderately complex system hardware and software issues using problem-solving skills and expertise.
* Trains end-users on the proper use of hardware and software to enhance their productivity and efficiency.
* Performs software installations and upgrades to operating systems and layered software packages to maintain up-to-date technology.
* Monitors and tunes systems to achieve optimum performance levels, ensuring data integrity and security.
* Ensures workstation/server data integrity by implementing standard software and hardware solutions to prevent data loss.
* Ensures data/media recoverability by following a schedule of system backups and database archive operations.
* Conducts hardware and software audits of workstations and servers to ensure compliance with established standards, policies, and configuration guidelines.
* Ensures that performance and security of computers meet the needs of network users through regular monitoring and maintenance.
Certification Requirements:
* IAT Level II certification is required.
* CompTIA Security+ CE certification is also necessary.
Experience:
* A minimum of 20 years of experience in a related field is required, along with a high school diploma or equivalent.
* Bachelor's degree holders can apply with 25 years of relevant experience.
Clearance Requirements:
TS/SCI clearance is mandatory for this position.
