Your new role
Design, develop, program, and maintain automated control systems
Configure and support PLCs, SCADA, HMIs, and industrial networks
Troubleshoot and resolve automation, control, and instrumentation faults
Optimise production processes to improve efficiency, reliability, and safety
Lead or support automation projects from concept through to commissioning
Collaborate with operations, maintenance, and engineering teams
Implement continuous improvement and standardisation initiatives
Ensure systems comply with safety, quality, and regulatory requirements
What you'll need to succeed
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, Automation, Controls Engineering, or a related discipline
Proven experience in industrial automation or control systems engineering
Strong hands‑on experience with PLC programming (e.g. Siemens, Rockwell/Allen‑Bradley, Schneider, Omron)
Experience with SCADA, HMI, and industrial control software
Knowledge of industrial networks and communication protocols (e.g. Ethernet/IP, Profibus, Profinet, Modbus)
Understanding of instrumentation, sensors, actuators, and control panels
Experience commissioning, testing, and troubleshooting automated systems
Familiarity with safety standards and functional safety (e.g. machine safety, SIL, risk assessments)
