Join a compassionate Palliative Care team and play a meaningful role in supporting patients, families and carers through the delivery of high‐quality healthcare services. This role provides essential administrative and secretarial support to medical, nursing and allied health professionals, ensuring the smooth day‐to‐day functioning of the service. It offers the opportunity to build strong working relationships across a multidisciplinary team while developing valuable skills in healthcare administration and coordination. The position includes a varied workload involving managing correspondence, coordinating appointments and meetings, and supporting clinical documentation processes in a sensitive and rewarding environment.
Are You the Right Fit?
The ideal candidate will demonstrate exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage professionally, sensitively and respectfully with patients, families, carers and a multidisciplinary healthcare team. Strong organisational skills and attention to detail are essential, along with the ability to manage competing priorities, coordinate appointments and meetings, maintain accurate records, and ensure administrative tasks are completed efficiently. A high level of compassion, empathy and professionalism is required to provide administrative support in a palliative care setting, with sensitivity, discretion and respect for individuals experiencing complex and emotional circumstances.
Selection Criteria
* Demonstrated experience in a secretarial, administrative or clerical role within a healthcare or related environment with advanced organisational skills including calendar/diary management, meeting coordination and minute taking.
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to engage sensitively and professionally with patients, families and members of multidisciplinary teams.
* Demonstrated experience in the use of Microsoft Office software packages (Word, Excel and PowerPoint), and a proven ability to quickly learn and adapt to new systems.
* Flexibility to work across both Camden and Campbelltown Hospitals.
