Role Overview

The role of Child Protection Practitioner is a dynamic and challenging position that involves receiving and assessing reports of alleged abuse and neglect of children and young people.

This includes undertaking investigations and developing plans to ensure the safety, stability and development of children and young people. The role requires making informed practice decisions and delivering improvements to achieve best outcomes.

Some key responsibilities include:

* Critical assessment and reflection: Engaging in risk assessment and analysis, case management, reporting and reflective practice.
* Engaging others: Collaborating with children, their families and support networks, and other practitioners and services.
* Delivering results: Problem solving, making informed practice decisions, delivering improvements and managing budgets to achieve best outcomes.

Please note that this position requires strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.


Key Accountabilities Include

1. Critical Assessment and Reflection: We are seeking an individual who can engage in risk assessment and analysis as well as case management, reporting and engaging in reflective practice.
2. Engaging Others: This role involves collaborating with children, their families and support networks and working with other practitioners and services to share knowledge.
3. Delivering Results: We require someone who can problem solve, make informed practice decisions and deliver improvements while managing budgets to achieve best outcomes.
4. Leading and Inspiring: The successful candidate will provide practice leadership to families and stakeholders, lead and develop colleagues and work to improve existing systems.
