You'll lead a skilled team from day one, while also shaping the future of training delivery as we bring our new training facility to life.Your missionAs the Training Manager, you will lead a nationally distributed training team and oversee the development of Epiroc's technical training programs for internal employees and customers.
Your initial focus will be on capability development and training program design-laying the groundwork for scalable delivery from our new facility in Perth, which is currently under development.In this role, you will:Lead and support a national team including Technical Trainers, Training Coordinators, and an Apprentice CoordinatorConduct national training needs analyses to identify skills gaps and priority areas for both internal and external stakeholdersDevelop structured technical training programs across equipment, automation systems, and digital platformsAlign training content with operational and business needs through close collaboration with Product Management, Engineering, Service, and HROversee apprenticeship and capability development pathways for tradespeople and early-career techniciansBuild frameworks for product inductions, competency-based progression, certification, and compliance trainingSupport the design and delivery model of the new training facility, ensuring it meets future operational and learning requirementsDrive a strong training culture across the business with a focus on safety, technical excellence, and continuous improvementAbout youYou're an experienced and passionate training leader who thrives on building teams, programs, and systems that drive capability and performance.
You're just as comfortable managing people as you are designing strategic frameworks-and you want to make a lasting impact.You bring:Proven experience in a training management or senior training role in mining, construction, or heavy industryDemonstrated success leading training teams and driving national programs or initiativesStrong experience in technical or equipment-based training development and deliveryExperience supporting or managing apprenticeship programs, including mentoring and competency progressionUnderstanding of adult learning principles and competency-based frameworks (Cert IV TAE desirable)Solid technical knowledge in mechanical, electrical, or hydraulic systems, or experience with mobile or drill equipmentStrong leadership, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills with the ability to influence across departments and levelsWhy Epiroc?
