People, Development and Engagement Manager

About the Role
As the People, Development and Engagement Manager, you'll provide expert guidance across all areas of human resources including workplace relations, industrial relations, recruitment, wellbeing, and work health and safety. Reporting to the Head of People, Development and Engagement you'll play a key role in shaping our culture and driving people-centric initiatives that align with CEDWW's mission and values.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide expert HR and IR advice to leaders on complex workplace and employee relations matters.
* Oversee case management, investigations, and industrial negotiations, including enterprise bargaining.
* Participate in enterprise bargaining negotiations with prior experience in the process.
* Coach and develop leaders to build confidence and capability in managing people effectively.
* Manage and enhance the Work Health & Safety and employee wellbeing portfolios.
* Drive initiatives that support talent identification, succession planning, and provide specialist advice, guidance and support regarding industrial and legislative matters and structural reforms including job classification, role reviews, evaluations and analysis.
* Oversee and manage complex industrial relations matters that require a high level of sensitivity and effective communication.
* Work in partnership with leaders, at all levels: to coach, mentor and develop their skill in managing workplace relations issues and employee performance.
* Keep accurate case management file notes evidence and decisions
* Contribute to and negotiate with the Independent Education Union (IEU) and other key stakeholders the Enterprise Bargaining and Agreements with employees across schools.
* Oversee and manage the Work, Health & Safety portfolio within CEDWW
* Responsible for end to end employee lifecycle including but not limited to; talent identification policy & strategy, succession planning and wellbeing initiatives and reporting across the CEDWW
About You
You'll bring:
* Tertiary qualifications in Human Resources, Employee Relations or a related field.
* Minimum 7 years' experience in a similar HR/ER leadership role.
* Strong understanding of Australian employment legislation and industrial frameworks.
* Demonstrated success in managing complex employee relations and leading change.
* Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills with a collaborative, values-driven approach.
