The role
An exciting opportunity has become available for a hands-on Financial Accountant to join a growing and fast-paced retail business within a well-known ASX-listed organisation. This role sits within a smaller business unit that is undergoing significant growth and transformation, making it the perfect opportunity for someone who enjoys combining strong technical accounting capability with a commercial and operational mindset. Initially offered as an 8 month contract, this position will suit someone who enjoys rolling up their sleeves, improving processes and working closely with stakeholders across the business. The Role Reporting to the Finance Manager, your responsibilities will include: End-to-end month-end accounting and reporting Balance sheet reconciliations and maintaining ledger integrity Revenue recognition and variance analysis Preparation of statutory reporting and audit support BAS preparation and compliance activities Intercompany reconciliations Accounts receivable and payable support Driving process improvement and automation initiatives Supporting finance transformation and systems enhancements Partnering with stakeholders across finance, operations and leadership About You To be successful in this role, you will ideally have: CA/CPA qualification (completed or near completion) 3 years’ experience within Financial Accounting Strong technical accounting knowledge Experience working within larger or complex organisations Advanced systems skills and strong Excel capability A proactive, hands-on and adaptable approach Retail, FMCG or large corporate experience highly regarded This is a fantastic opportunity to join a collaborative and forward-thinking business where you can make an immediate impact while gaining exposure to a dynamic and evolving environment.
