The Opportunity We have an exciting permanent opportunity for a trade qualified Field Service Technician / Auto Electrician to join our Western Australia team, working across Kalgoorlie and the Pilbara regions on a flexible FIFO roster. In this role, you’ll deliver high-quality preventative and breakdown maintenance, mechanical and electrical troubleshooting, and component installations on a wide range of mining and construction equipment. You’ll play a key role in providing positive customer outcomes while working independently in remote sites. What You’ll Do * Perform mechanical and auto electrical maintenance, including diagnostics and repairs on mobile mining equipment * Troubleshoot electrical faults and assist with air conditioning service repairs * Operate under strict safety standards and promote the HCA safety culture * Collaborate with technical support and field teams to ensure timely, quality service * Access OEM training and use the latest technologies for continuous skill development What You’ll Need * Relevant trade qualifications in Mobile Plant Fitting and/or Auto Electrical with current driver’s license * Experience in mining or civil equipment maintenance, including mechanical and electrical systems * Knowledge of CANBus, PLCs, and air conditioning servicing (highly regarded) * Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team in remote FIFO locations * Strong work ethic, excellent diagnostic skills, and commitment to workplace health and safety What We Offer * Competitive hourly rate from $70/hr plus superannuation, night shift allowances, metropolitan zone allowance, and biannual bonuses * Flexible FIFO roster with paid fatigue days and relocation assistance if needed * Accommodation support for non-resident workers * Exclusive staff discounts on health cover and a range of goods and services * OEM training, career development, and supportive management * Long-term job security with a leading global OEM
