Overview
The U.S. Mission is seeking a Media and Public Engagement (PE) Assistant to help shape our digital storytelling, online engagement, and multimedia outreach. This role plays a key part in building and managing flagship digital platforms, creating compelling visual content, and connecting with diverse communities across Australia.
Responsibilities
* Develop and manage social media and website content aligned with Mission priorities
* Create innovative digital campaigns and online engagement opportunities
* Produce visual and multimedia content for public diplomacy initiatives
* Support exchange programs, alumni engagement, and outreach to new audiences
* Provide guidance on digital standards, policies, and best practices
Qualifications
* A university degree in Communications, Marketing, Design, Advertising, Intercultural/Multicultural Studies, or similar
* At least three years' experience in digital marketing, communications, or public engagement
* Strong multimedia content creation skills and experience managing online communities
* Applicants must be eligible to obtain a Sensitive but Unclassified security clearance and meet all application requirements outlined in the vacancy announcement
