I am looking for a Technical Officer for a government agency in Townsville.
This role would be a outstanding fit for a construction tradesperson or a works officer who is interested in transitioning into a more technical advisory position with Qld Government Agency
Duties include:
Liaising with Government Stakeholders regarding Government buildings, Schools, Hospitals etc
Assign the correct priority to the breakdown
Provide technical advice to Contractors in terms of repair decisions
Review Condition Reports provided by contractors
Provide reporting on breakdown status
Undertake on-site Condition assessment
About you:
Trade qualification (mandatory)
Intermediate level of MS Excel skills including being able to create spreadsheets to monitor construction tenders
Experience in tendering and costing for the construction industry
Demonstrated ability to communicate well with customers and in-house staff both written and verbal
