HR Driver / Vacuum Truck Operator - Townsville
Achieve Group is currently seeking an HR Driver / Vacuum Truck Operator to assist our client with day-to-day waste management operations. This position suits a practical, hands‐on operator comfortable working with heavy vehicles, specialised equipment, and a range of site conditions. The right candidate will play a key role in delivering safe, efficient industrial and environmental services while maintaining high standards of customer service and compliance.
Key Responsibilities
* Operate HR-class automatic vehicles, including Cappellotto vacuum trucks, and associated industrial equipment
* Carry out industrial cleaning, vacuum loading, and waste removal activities
* Complete drain cleaning, stormwater maintenance, and non‐destructive digging (NDD) tasks
* Accurately complete daily logbooks, job documentation, and compliance paperwork
* Perform routine vehicle and equipment checks, reporting defects as required
* Follow all WHS and environmental procedures, ensuring correct PPE is worn at all times
* Work collaboratively with team members and maintain professional client relationships
* Complete tasks as directed, meeting project timelines and site requirements
* Occasional weekend work and occasional work away from home will be required as part of this role
Requirements
* Current HR licence (automatic), essential
* Experience with logbooks and compliance paperwork
* Previous experience in waste, industrial services, or a similar operational role
* Valid White Card
* HVAC Certification
* Strong understanding of WHS and environmental compliance
* Ability to pass pre‐employment medical assessments, including drug and alcohol screening
* Flexible availability, with willingness to work occasional night shifts and weekends
