The Opportunity :
As an E&I Quality Control (QC) Inspector, your role will play a critical part in ensuring quality compliance and supporting project excellence. You'll oversee E&I quality control activities, ensuring adherence to the Project Quality Plan (PQP) and maintaining safety and environmental standards. Key responsibilities include conducting timely inspections, identifying and resolving deviations and maintaining accurate, traceable documentation. You'll collaborate closely with supervisors, construction teams, clients and subcontractors, building strong relationships to ensure seamless project delivery.
Responsibilities :
* Ensure adherence to the approved Project Quality Plan (PQP) on-site.
* Perform QC activities related to Electrical & Instrumentation (E&I) work on-site.
* Ensure timely completion of planned E&I QC inspections and report deviations from engineering deliverables, specifications, and standards.
* Follow up on identified deviations to ensure compliance is achieved.
* Retain and maintain necessary documentation for QA / QC activities, including inspection, audit, and surveillance reports.
* Provide input to weekly and monthly QC reports as required by the QC Electrical Lead.
* Maintain competencies and work standards, and initiate training where necessary.
* Ensure all test documentation, as-builts, commissioning, and handover documentation are completed, up-to-date and traceable.
About You :
The ideal candidate will have experience as a QC E&I Inspector with an Australian Electrical Trade Certificate, QLD License, and Instrumentation certification. Experienced in oil and gas, you excel in compliance with Australian Electrical Standards, report writing and maintaining accurate records. With strong communication skills and certifications in White Card, Confined Space, Heights, EEHA and CPR / LVR, you are detail-oriented, safety-focused, and ready to build strong client and team relationships.
