This is a full-time role in the School of Engineering and Technology at CQUniversity.
The position title is Higher Education Worker Level 4.
You will join our team in the School of Engineering and Technology, supporting staff and students across both Vocational Education and Training (VET) and Higher Education (HE).
This varied role requires handling emails, organising meetings, maintaining records, assisting with events, coordinating casual appointments, and preparing documentation – all while contributing to smooth day-to-day operations within a supportive team.
To thrive in this role, you will need strong organisational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to build positive working relationships while maintaining confidentiality.
Key Responsibilities
* Handle emails and correspondence professionally and efficiently
* Organise meetings and appointments effectively
* Maintain accurate and up-to-date records
* Assist with events and conferences as required
* Coordinate casual appointments and bookings
* Prepare documentation and reports as needed
Requirements
* Proficient in the operation of computers and Microsoft Office software
* Strong time management and problem-solving skills with the ability to work collaboratively in a team-based work environment
* Excellent communication (oral and written) and interpersonal skills
* Proven ability to organise work, meet deadlines and resolve problems with minimal supervision
* Knowledge, or ability to quickly acquire knowledge of University policies, procedures, programs and requirements
