Townsville Hospital and Health Service are seeking a Clinical Nurse to join the team within Parklands Residential Aged Care Facility in Kirwan, on a fixed term temporary part-time basis, working 56 hours per fortnight for three months, with the possibility of extension, up to 12 months.
Parklands provides a multidisciplinary approach to care delivery with a focus on resident's rights and choices.
About the work unit / facility:
Parklands Residential Aged Care Facility (RACF) is a Queensland Health managed aged care service within the Townsville Hospital and Health Service (THHS) and is in Townsville at the Kirwan campus. The facility provides care for 70 residents with 30 places for dementia care and 40 places for older persons who require care due to fragility and complex care needs.

* Salary range: $54.44 to $58.30 p.h. (NG6, Band 1)
* 4 to 6 weeks annual leave with 14%-17.5% loading

About your opportunity:
The Clinical Nurse (CN) utilises clinical skills and knowledge whilst working in partnership with other members of the nursing team and students to provide resident focused care and assisting in the achievement of service goals. The CN will be committed to relevant and continued professional education, actively be involved with the development of others and be involved in the unit portfolios. The CN provides care in accordance with the Practice Standards as identified by the Australian Nursing and Midwifery Board.
Role Requirements:
* Bachelor of Nursing or equivalent certification relevant to this position.
* Registration with AHPRA.
* This is a Vaccine Preventable Disease (VPD) risk role.
* Pre-employment checks will be conducted, including criminal history clearance and NDIS worker screening check.
