Nathan River Mine Site | FIFO 2:2 ex-Darwin | Permanent Position
Nathan River Resources is the proud owner and operator of the Roper Bar Iron Ore Mine, located 50km inland from the Gulf of Carpentaria and approximately 760km from Darwin. With our in-house mine, marine and trans-shipment divisions, we manage a dedicated fleet of mine and marine assets to support long-term operations.
As part of our continued Phase 2 expansion, we are seeking a qualified Heavy Vehicle Mechanic / Diesel Fitter to join our maintenance team.

Key Responsibilities
* Carry out heavy vehicle repairs, maintenance, major & minor servicing to compliance standards
* Conduct diagnostic inspections and fault finding
* Provide breakdown assistance as required
* Maintain and use equipment safely and correctly
* Deliver work to high-quality standards within set timeframes
* Support team building, training, and maintaining a positive work environment
* Follow all WHS protocols and site safety procedures

About You
* Trade qualification – Truck Mechanic / Diesel Fitter (essential)
* Experience in the repair & maintenance of road trains and hydraulic systems
* Strong diagnostic, technical and analytical skills
* Basic computer literacy (Outlook, Word)
* Excellent time management, attention to detail & work ethic
* Strong relationship skills and ability to work well in a team
* Safety-conscious with commitment to quality work
* Ability to pass a pre-employment medical & drug/alcohol screening
Highly Desirable:
* MC License and forklift license
* Auto Electrician experience/qualifications
* Automotive air conditioning
