**The Role**
To ensure all orders entering the warehouse management system are correctly planned, organised and allocated to the Distribution Center in the most efficient manner.
**Key duties/accountabilities**
- Wave control/allocation - Coordinate the order release to floor in a manner that will optimise operational work flow
- Completes the waves in WMS including updating the wave sheets
- Develop and refine wave templates as per ongoing operational requirements
- Ensures a balance of work is allocated effectively across the entire facility
- Provide support and assist the warehouse with resolving WMS issues
- Support the operations management team in the implementation of continuous process improvement as related to WMS operation
- Understand all stakeholder requirements and plan accordingly
- Refine processes with the all internal and external customers in mind
- Perform other DC duties as required such as cycle counts
**Knowledge, skills and qualifications**
- A good knowledge of warehouse, distribution functions and great product knowledge
- Excellent planning, organisational and time management skills
- Strong computer literacy and experience with Warehouse Management Systems, Manhattan preferred
- Good problem solving skills
- Highly developed analytical skills
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Strong attention to detail
- Self motivated with the ability to work autonomously
- Ability to work in a fast paced warehouse environment
