**Position overview**

The Work Environment Group within the People and Culture Division is responsible for the management of Work Health and Safety (WHS), injury prevention and management and workers compensation and self-insurance.
The Manager, WHS is responsible for leading and managing a team of WHS Consultants in the delivery of the WHS Management System and WHS services and activities for the University.
The position will provide strategic and expert advice to maintain, implement and continuously improve the WHS Management System and the associated WHS programs in accordance with the University's legislative obligations and self-insurance requirements, ensuring the University continues to deliver across all WHS objectives and KPIs.
To be successful in this role, you will have demonstrated experience in successful implementation of WHS management systems, WHS risk management and assessments and injury prevention programs, preferably in a self-insurance environment. An outcome driven professional, you have delivered against agreed objectives and targets and contributed towards a positive WHS culture in a complex organisation, working with a wide range of stakeholders.
