Our client is a well established water treatment company that offers a range of water management services that cover the entire water cycle. From consulting and design, research and development, engineering and construction, and operation and maintenance.
Position summary
We are currently seeking a high-energy, self-motivated and dedicated engineer to lead process operations and technical support.
Specific responsibilities
* Develop process designs for new projects and provides support to sales team in Australia, New Zealand and Asia-Pacific Regions.
* Inputs to initial concept designs for new projects across a range of industrial sectors including mining, food & beverage, manufacturing, groundwater and general industry
* Prepare equipment selection and costing for project-specific proposals as well as standard product development and costing database development.
* Work with Lead Process Engineer and Executive Technical Director to ensure the design optimisation, determine required level of treatment and confirm performance guarantees for selected equipment.
* Provide advice / recommendations on various optimised design options for new projects.
* Optimize/refine designs based on feedback to meet customer requirements and cost targets.
* Travel to client site to provide technical / engineering support as and when required.
* Draft technical documentation including engineering bulletins/fact sheets for new product development.
* Drive product quality and reliability issues to root cause and corrective action using a disciplined, data-driven approach.
Required skills & experience
* Degree in Chemical, Environmental or Mechanical Engineering
* 3 – 7 years' experience in water / wastewater treatment
* Demonstrated understanding of water and wastewater treatment equipment and processes including, desalination, Ultra-Filtration (UF), Reverse Osmosis and others
* Excellent quantitative, analytical, problem solving, communication, interpersonal, presentation, influencing, facilitation, and computer skills
* Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of variables in situations within limited timeframes
