As a contract Retail Assessor, you will deliver accurate, timely, and compliant assessments across METS programs while working closely with internal teams to ensure strong communication, quality outcomes, and alignment with the Standards for RTOs 2025. Your responsibilities include reviewing submissions, providing constructive feedback, maintaining detailed records, and supporting moderation, validation, and continuous improvement activities.
Key Responsibilities
- Mark assessment submissions in line with unit requirements, assessment tools, and METS benchmarks.
- Provide timely, professional, and constructive feedback.
- Ensure assessment evidence is valid, sufficient, current, and authentic.
- Maintain detailed records in systems such as VETtrak, LMS, and Snapshot.
- Regular communication regarding learner progress and compliance risks.
- Participate in validation and moderation sessions.
- Promote METS and Scope values through professional conduct and customer service.
- Maintain and update career development and industry currency.
- Provide reports to Manager and Assessor Trainer.
- Update and maintain Learner Matrix.
Essential Qualifications and Compliance
- Certificate IV in Training & Assessment (TAE40122/TAE40116/TAE40110)
- RTO experience, including knowledge of the VET sector and the Standards for RTOs 2025
- Experience assessing online learning
- SIR30216 Certificate III in Retail or equivalent
- Food Safety Supervisor Certificate
- Hold relevant qualifications/units for the training delivered
- NDIS Workers Check Clearance | Working With Children Check
- NSW Driver’s Licence
