Bear Boy Espresso is a fast-paced, high volume cafe born on the northern end of the Gold Coast. We're well established in the Gold Coast community and known for our creative, seasonal, modern Australian brunch menu and excellent specialty coffee offerings.
We regularly feature other coffee roasters alongside our own coffee blend created in collaboration with Toybox Coffee Roasters.
We're passionate about all things hospitality; great service, amazing coffee and delivering top-quality food with consistency and flair. As we continue to grow, we’re looking for a passionate Chef De Partie to join our kitchen team, bringing strength and experience to our well established team.
The Role
We are currently seeking a career focused Qualified Chef De Partie with strong grill experience to join our Gold Coast Kitchen team starting on a casual basis at around 35+ hrs per week for the right candidate, with the option of a Full Time Salary moving forward. You'll be joining a well established kitchen team of professionals, who know how to handle the pressures of a busy service, still have a laugh, and serve up great quality food.
Key Responsibilities
* Work within the kitchen team in a positive, respectful manner
* Develop seasonal menu changes in collaboration with the team
* Maintain excellent food presentation, portion control, and consistency
* Ensure compliance with all food safety and hygiene standards
About You
* Minimum 1 years’ experience as a Chef De Partie or 2 years as Commis Chef in a similar high-volume café or restaurant
* Prior Breakfast Chef Experience Preferred
* High Level Grill Experience A Must
* Strong organisational and leadership skills with a hands-on approach
* Ability to perform under pressure while maintaining quality and composure
* Work efficiently, prioritise and multitask effectively
* Strong team player with great communication skills
* Positive attitude and genuine love for hospitality
