The Woolworths Group Procurement team is a pivotal function, deeply integrated into the strategic and capital expenditure of Australia's largest retailer.
We manage billions in essential spend, covering everything from major Construction and Equipment to critical Services like Energy, Waste and Security.

The Opportunity
Unleash your potential as the Head of Procurement - Enablement, a pivotal, high impact permanent role within the Group Procurement team, reporting to the Director of Procurement.
This critical role exists to implement best in class processes and cutting edge technology including Agentic AI and Generative AI to revolutionise procurement across the entire Group. You'll lead a team of ~17, shaping strategies that deliver greater efficiency, significant value and a lasting social impact through a focus on diverse and sustainable supplier relationships. What you'll do
You will support the GNFR Group Procurement function and business stakeholders with high impact across all business units within the Woolworths Group, including W360, Group Enablement, Customer X, W-Retail, W-Living, Food Safety, Quality & Regulatory Compliance and Sustainability. You will also interact extensively with Group Risk, Group Internal Audit and key external stakeholders such as diverse suppliers and technology partners. This role has a global reach, with responsibility for the Asia Low Cost Sourcing team.
Lead the transformation of Procurement systems and operations, driving the implementation and adoption of emerging technologies like Agentic and Generative AI.
Champion social impact by developing and executing strategies to measurably increase spend with diverse (eg. First Nations and Disability) suppliers.
Steer the Insights & Innovation team, leveraging advanced data analytics and AI to enhance self serve capabilities and drive data driven decision making.
Ensure robust governance through always on delivery of Supplier Resilience & Assurance, Procurement Policy & Process governance and Group Risk framework execution.
Continuously improve procurement and supplier onboarding processes to ensure ease of use and high engagement/adoption across all business units.
What you'll bring
Significant experience in procurement leadership and service management, with a deep understanding of strategic sourcing and category management best practices.
Proven expertise in procurement technologies, including Ariba and PIMS with essential experience in systems integration and implementation.
Exceptional leadership skills with the ability to inspire and manage a team while fostering a culture of high performance and continuous improvement.
Highly developed communication and stakeholder management skills, capable of influencing senior leaders and building consensus across diverse, cross functional groups.
Strong commercial acumen and analytical capability, demonstrated by leveraging data and AI to drive quantifiable cost savings and process efficiencies.
A commitment to driving change and innovation within a large, complex organisation, coupled with a passion for diversity, sustainability and social impact.
