Why is this role for you? You graduated a couple of years ago with a construction or engineering-related degree and you want to be a project manager in the future. With the right training and mentorship, you back yourself to learn quickly as you have a great work ethic and enjoy soaking up knowledge from others. Initially, you'd start by working on capex projects at Sydney Airport. With a 5-year pipeline of upgrades due, there is plenty there to do. You can stay there for that duration, or you could switch to health, commercial or new build aged care facilities that they deliver with other clients - you won't get bored and pigeonholed here. With a flat management structure, you'd get lots of access to the owners and with the last 2 APM's here, both earning promotions recently, you'll see what your career progression looks like. Starting salary range is $90-$120k package plus a yearly bonus paid at Christmas. If you have some consultancy experience behind you but want a better place to develop your skills, then this is the role for you. What can you tell me about the company? With 10 years in operation, their team of 20 is led by 4 hands-on directors who have previously worked at the likes of Lend Lease, CPB and Multiplex so they know what they are talking about. Staff retention is ridiculously high, and being relatively small,l they are agile and can make quick decisions regarding you and the business. Your effort and work won’t go unnoticed and there are plenty of APM’s who started there in this role and worked their way up. They do regular team bonding and events, a yearly conference away and feedback from staff is that they feel valued and listened to.
