The Role
Key Account Manager is a pivotal role to identify, develop and manage customers' needs. This role will build relationships with Key internal and external stakeholders for Injectables and Inhaled Anaesthesia products within the defined territories.
Based in Brunswick, this role will work closely with Healthcare Solutions Team in executing commercial strategies and responding to tenders. With high focus on launch excellence, this role will take lead in understanding customers' need and supporting marketing team in building strategies for success.
**Key Responsibilities will include**:
Develop relationships with all key stakeholders (Director of Pharmacy, Procurement Manager, State Health Category Manager, Anaesthesia Department, Medicine safety Manager, Hospital Wholesaler)
Develop a deep understanding of the current and future Pharmaceuticals products
Conduct regular business review meetings with the Key Accounts to uncover opportunities to grow business and identify gaps
Develop and manage key customer relationships driving increase in Sales in these accounts
Ensure all sales opportunities, sales calls and campaigns are captured in Boost timely and monitor the progress
Liaise with Healthcare solutions manager to effectively relay key messaging to target executives
Contribute to proposals and submissions to new business opportunities and tender responses within defined territories.
Provide market information and any other relevant data as required to the product manager/sales manager
Required Background and Skills
The role will ideally suit someone who has proven experience managing key accounts preferably in Generic Pharmaceuticals or speciality pharmaceuticals. You are a go-getter and enjoy building and maintaining customer-centric relations.
Tertiary qualifications in a related discipline e.g. Pharmacy, Science, Business, Marketing, Nursing
Proven experience in Key Account Management preferably in Generic Pharmaceuticals or speciality pharmaceuticals
Strong customer focus and high level of communication skills, organisation, problem solving and planning
Strong understanding of identifying Pharmaceuticals key stakeholders
Skills in negotiation and contract/tender management.
Demonstrated ability to manage own time and work to deadlines
Current Australian Driving license
Strong computer program skills (e.g., Salesforce, Microsoft Office Suite)
