Superintendent - Mining (Overseas Expatriate Position)
$150,000 – $180,000 base salary + super + bonuses
Black Cat Syndicate Limited is expanding its operations with the relaunch of the Paulsens Gold Operation and the ramp‐up of the Kal East Gold Operation. We are building a team where people matter, voices are heard, and careers are grown.
Location and Roster
FIFO from Perth, DIDO from surrounding areas or residential. Lakewood is located 6 km from Kalgoorlie, with our mining operations within a 40 km radius of the processing facility.
Roster: 8/6, day shift only.
About the Opportunity
* Prepare, review and audit mid‐to‐longer term mine designs and plans ensuring risks to plans are identified and mitigated.
* Collaborate with operations, geology, metallurgy, geotechnical, and production engineering teams for safe and practical design and mine plan execution.
* Complete stope designs to maximise economic extraction of ore.
* Undertake mine infrastructure analysis and projects to improve water and de‐watering systems.
About You
* Tertiary qualification in Mining Engineering or equivalent.
* Experience in underground mining, preferably gold, with exposure to various mining methods and engineering.
* Exposure to capital projects and cost estimation across a wide range of mining activities and support services.
* User of mine planning and scheduling software packages, preferably Deswik (CAD and UGDB) and Ventsim.
* Completed underground time or minimal underground time (desirable).
* Ability to work collaboratively with a diverse range of people across all levels, understanding that everyone works together.
