Firbank Grammar is seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Humanities Teacher to work in our Senior School in a fixed-term, part-time, position for Term 3, 2025. We are looking for someone who is passionate about the education and wellbeing of students and applying the best practice for our Senior School students to achieve success. The key role of this job is to provide engaging and thoughtful lessons, following planned activities in accordance with the faculty syllabi and school priorities. You will play a pivotal role in fostering a love for history and global politics by creating engaging and innovative lessons that inspire students to excel. This is a part-time (0.50 FTE) fixed-term role at our Brighton Senior School Campus for Term 3, 2025 (July 21st - September 19th). This position is available due to a staff member on leave. Key responsibilities Demonstrate passion for teaching Humanities Teach in a way that enables all students to succeed Provide an appropriate role model for students in terms of punctuality, dress and conduct Observe safe work practices, maintain a safe and supportive environment Successfully perform the allotted load for this position, made up of the following subjects: Year 9 and 10 History Year 10 Global Politics Shared Year 7 Mentor (Homeroom Teacher) Key Attributes Compassion, flexibility and adaptability Strong organisational and interpersonal skills Ability to work collaboratively Understands obligations in relation to Health and Safety Qualifications and Experience Experience teaching History and Global Politics in Years 9 and 10.
