BLOK Design Co. is a Brisbane-based interior design studio specialising in high-end residential, multi-residential, commercial, retail and hospitality environments across Southeast Queensland.

Blok Design Co. is underpinned by a highly skilled, multidisciplinary team. Across interior & event design, styling, operations, sales, finance, IT, HR and administration, each team member contributes specialist expertise and plays a vital role in the consistent delivery of high-quality design outcomes for our clients.
This is a full-time role working across all phases of design — from concept through to documentation and construction delivery — with a high level of client and consultant engagement.
About the Role
We are seeking a full-time Senior Interior Designer to join our interiors team.
Working closely with our Director, designers and project partners, you will lead and contribute to projects across a range of scales and typologies. Depending on project needs, your responsibilities will include:
* Leading design development from concept to completion
* Preparation of concept schemes, drawings, joinery & cabinetry details and documentation packages
* Spatial planning and interior architecture resolution
* Materials, finishes and FF&E selection and specification
* Client presentations and relationship management
* Professional demeanour with strong written and verbal communication
* Consultant coordination (architects, builders, suppliers)
* Managing timelines, budgets and project documentation
* Producing presentations and visual communication material
* Site visits and construction phase support
* Mentoring junior designers and contributing to studio standards
* Building and maintaining strong supplier and manufacturer relationships
We are seeking a designer with both creative strength and delivery capability — someone confident operating independently while contributing to a collaborative studio culture.
Qualifications
* Degree or Diploma qualification in Interior Design, Interior Architecture or related Built Environment discipline
* 5+ years' interior design experience
* Strong high-end residential design experience (essential)
* Proven experience leading projects through all design and construction phases
* Solid understanding of construction methodology and build processes
* Advanced joinery and cabinetry detailing capability
* Experience producing comprehensive documentation and specification packages
* Strong materials sourcing and finishes selection experience
* Established product, manufacturer and supplier knowledge, with demonstrated industry relationships
* Direct client liaison and presentation experience
* Experience working alongside builders and contractors on-site
* Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines with professionalism and structure
* Commercial awareness and general business development capability
Software & Technical Skills
* Confident producing detailed drawing sets and coordinated documentation packages
* Strong presentation and visual communication skills
* Comfortable working across industry-standard design, documentation and presentation platforms
* Experience with scheduling and specification software (e.g. Programa) advantageous
