About the Role:
* We're seeking a Strategic Planning Officer to join our team.
* You'll be responsible for assessing development applications, drafting and reviewing local planning policies, evaluating Local Planning Scheme amendments, conducting land use planning research, coordinating responses to State planning initiatives, providing advice to the public and developers, and representing Council in meetings and inquiries.
Key Skills and Qualifications:
* Tertiary qualification in Urban or Town Planning.
* Experience in statutory or strategic planning.
* Strong research and analytical skills.
* Clear and confident communication style.
* Knowledge of planning legislation and processes.
* Ability to collaborate and influence respectfully.
