We are on the lookout for a Manager of Urban Infrastructure to lead construction and maintenance services for water, sewerage, parks & gardens, and pool infrastructure. **Your role**:
As the Manager of Urban Infrastructure, you will oversee the planning and delivery of services, providing leadership and guidance in the management of council’s urban infrastructure operations. This hands-on role requires a multifaceted professional with skills in project management, stakeholder engagement and environmental sustainability.
**Key Responsibilities**:
- Provide leadership, expertise and development for the urban infrastructure team.
- Monitor and manage council infrastructure projects, ensuring quality, compliance and risk management.
- Lead strategic initiatives for town, parks, gardens and pool services operations. Delivering allocated capital works programs.
- Develop, implement and maintain environmentally sustainable work practices.
- Create stakeholder relationships and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, business industry bodies and regulators.
- Optimise water distribution systems and enhance maintenance activities.
- Review and improve the operations and maintenance activities through monitoring, benchmarking, and implementing system improvements.
- Promote commercial opportunities through the provision of technical support and delivery of works to external organisations.
- Develop strategies to enable a proactive approach to water and sewerage service delivery, safety, and compliance.
**Requirements**:
- Tertiary qualifications in engineering or related discipline and or extensive professional experience working in water and sewerage for town infrastructure and operations.
- Current C Class open driver’s license.
- Staff management skills and exposure to performance management and planning.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- High technical skills with proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and MS Project.
- Extensive experience in water, sewerage, and town and pool infrastructure construction and maintenance.
- Must be an Australian citizen or resident.

- Total Package: $187K annually
- Base salary: $135K
- Relocation assistance: Up to $5K per council policy.
- Vehicle: Annual value of $17,000 (up to 20,000KM for personal use).
- Accommodation: $100 P/W (can be salary sacrificed)/subsidised at $200 per week.
- Annual leave: 5 weeks per annum.
- Personal leave: 15 days per annum.
