Job Title: Allied Health Assistant
Our team is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Allied Health Assistant to join our Wellness & Reablement Services in partnership with Allied Health professionals.
* This role involves assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating client programs to address the effects of aging, and/or health conditions, focusing on enhancing the client's overall well-being and independence.
Key Responsibilities:
* Deliver high-quality service delivery to our service users and adhere to contract requirements.
* Support the Wellness & Reablement team in daily operations to ensure smooth delivery of services.
* Engage with clients on a holistic level about their performance and progression towards goals or concerns.
* Provide allied health therapy interventions as directed by relevant allied health professional.
* Monitor clients during therapy sessions ensuring exercises are performed safely and correctly, within scope of position, report any concerns or changes to the relevant Allied Health Professional and document.
* Modify a session or exercise within limits prescribed by treating Allied Health Professional.
* Actively participate in ongoing quality improvement activities and ensure the team is supported to maintain the service line Continuous Improvement plans.
* Actively participate in working towards the Aged Care Quality and Safety Standards.

Requirements:
* Certificate III in Allied Health Assistance or equivalent or demonstrated knowledge and experience in Community Services or Allied Health Assistance.
* Sound knowledge of Home Care and/or Aged Care industry including exposure to the Aged Care Quality Code of Conduct, Aged Care Standards & accreditation process.
* Strong communication skills, with a demonstrated ability to build rapport with internal and external stakeholders.
* Client-centric approach and willingness to advocate on behalf of clients.
* Proven ability to work independently, make sound judgements, and prioritise tasks in a fast-paced environment.
* Ability to work in a physical environment, including assisting with manual handling.
* Ability to follow instructions and work within a team under the supervision of qualified Allied Health professionals.
* Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality and adhere to privacy laws.
* Demonstrated understanding of risk management protocols, covering hazard identification and incident management.
* Demonstrated understanding and ability to act quickly and effectively in the event of an emergency, including administering first aid, providing CPR if necessary, and performing pool rescues (in a Hydrotherapy centre environment).
* Proficient swimming skills, and a willingness and ability, to undertake pool lifesaving training to a satisfactory standard (in a Hydrotherapy centre environment).
* Proficient computer and information management skills.
* Current National Police Certificate (or ability to acquire).
