About the Role
We are seeking a qualified and experienced Mechanical Engineering Technician to support the maintenance, optimisation, and continuous improvement of our manufacturing equipment and production systems.
This is a full time permanent position based in Minto, NSW.
Key Responsibilities
* Assist in the installation, testing, maintenance, and modification of manufacturing equipment and machinery
* Support automation and process improvement initiatives to improve operational efficiency and production output
* Analyse equipment performance and production data to identify technical issues and improvement opportunities
* Conduct preventative maintenance and assist in troubleshooting mechanical and production system faults
* Prepare and update technical drawings and engineering documentation using AutoCAD and/or SolidWorks
* Assist with commissioning and validation of new equipment and production systems
* Liaise with suppliers and production staff regarding equipment performance and technical requirements
* Assist in estimating materials, technical requirements, and equipment specifications for engineering projects
Skills and Experience Required
* Relevant qualification in Mechanical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering Technology, or related field
* At least 2 years of relevant experience in a manufacturing, production, or industrial setting
* Experience working with mechanical systems, production equipment, or automated machinery
* Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications
* Experience using AutoCAD and/or SolidWorks
* Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem‐solving skills
* Valuable written and verbal communication skills in English
Desirable
* Experience working with industrial production equipment, conveyors, mixers, or automated systems
* Experience in preventative maintenance and process optimisation within manufacturing environments
Benefits
* Pay: $85,000.00 – $95,000.00 per year
